The Compliance & Data Protection Leader leads the implementation of compliance and in particular export control processes as well as new Airbus related subsidiaries requirements. He/she promotes and manages all compliance related matters by giving assistance to the teams and management. He/she monitors, answers and manages the compliance needs of the Companies on matters relating to general ethics and compliance:
- Export Control
- Data Privacy & Data Governance
- Gifts &Hospitality, Corporate Sponsorships, Donations & Memberships
- Anti Bribery & Corruption,
- Conflicts of Interest
- Speak Up
- Competition Law & Antitrust
As such, he/she enshrines the ethics and compliance policies and procedures and manages their implementation in the Companies. He/she is the guardian of compliance with the Code of Conduct and related Airbus policies; and ensures that employees receive adequate training. He/she acts as Privacy focal point for the Companies.
The CDPL manages the compliance function of the Companies and is responsible for:
- implementing and managing an effective compliance program;
- developing and reviewing all related company policies;
- advising management on the Companies’ compliance with laws, regulations and other Airbus E&C requirements through detailed reports;
- creating and managing effective action plans in response to potential audit discoveries and compliance issues;
- auditing company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks and proposing mitigation actions/solutions;
- assessing company operations to determine potential compliance risks;
- ensuring all employees are educated/trained on the latest regulations and processes.
- supporting employees questions or issues with any compliance topic;
- seeking external legal advice for the Companies when needed;
- coordinating with Airbus relevant functions such as Aircraft Leasing & Trading Financing, Flight Hour Services, Ethics&Compliance (including Export Control) and General Data Protection Regulation;
- drafting and updating the Companies’ ethics and compliance processes and procedures;
- supporting management with the preparation of Internal Control (IC) campaigns and deficiency tracking action plans; Financial Services
- overseeing compliance with Airbus ethics and compliance policies.
Main activities:
On the Export Control side:
- preparing and finalising the Companies’ export control compliance plans;
- reviewing and completing all company export control procedures;
- preparing and managing the Companies’ export control licence applications;
- supporting the preparation of the classification of parts database;
- reviewing and updating Service Level Agreements with concerned Airbus divisions;
- managing checks and controls related to Export Control regulations for all the Companies’ needs;
- liaising and coordinating all actions with the Airbus export control team.
On the Data Governance side:
- acting as Data Governance Manager and supporting GDPR implementation in the Companies;
On the General Compliance side:
- reviewing the Airbus affiliate handbook to advise the Companies on their requirements for specific topics such as Anti Bribery & Corruption, Speak Up etc
- implementing Airbus Group methods and directives relating to General compliance topics
- creating and implementing local policies and procedures based on internal operations of the Companies as well as where Irish law may differentiate from French law
- creating awareness on General Compliance topics by cascading campaigns deployed by the Airbus Central Ethics &Compliance function
- creating targeted training and awareness on General Compliance topics based on the Companies’ business activities
Output:
The main deliverables are:
- export control compliance plans;
- regular reporting as required;
- compliance procedures adapted to the company;
- compliance awareness presentations and trainings;
- export control licences;
- intercompany agreements.
Skills & Requirements:
The jobholder shall have the following skills and experiences:
- law, business or finance degree;
- professional compliance qualification an advantage;
- 5+ years prior experience in risk management or compliance/export control roles;
- superior attention to detail;
